With the growing global population, the need for automation is
increasing significantly every year. Two critical factors driving
automation—time and money—are in high demand, especially in
Pakistan, where a shortage of automated solutions persists,
particularly in domestic devices. Traditional manual systems remain
time-consuming and costly.
This project addresses the primary challenge of transforming a
manual system into an automated one while focusing on saving time
and money.
The SMART CRADLE consists of the following components:
-
Microprocessor: Acts as the central control unit.
-
Light Sensor: Detects changes in ambient light
intensity
-
Sound Sensor: Detects crying or weeping sounds
from the infant/child. intensity
How it works:
-
The sound sensor detects the infant’s crying and sends signals
to the microprocessor. The microprocessor, in turn, activates
the motor to swing the cradle.
-
The light sensor detects a drop in light intensity and
automatically turns on an LED bulb, providing a comforting
lighting solution for the child.
This project integrates multiple technologies to provide an
effective solution for homeowners. When compared to similar projects
like “Baby Monitoring Smart Cradle” and “IoT-Based Smart Cradle for
Baby Monitoring,” the SMART CRADLE offers a more advanced solution.
However, it is designed to be cost-effective and tailored for the
local Pakistani market, addressing issues of size, elasticity, and
affordability.
